Well said. I have a day job as a secretary, and my employer constantly tries to encourage me to climb the corporate ladder, but I know better. All the women up top are miserable. I like doing a relatively easy job that doesn't disrupt my femininity. I wish to be married to a man that understands his role as financial provider, so I can fully do my thing as a woman and peace out of working for The Man and work for my man and create our family. Feminism is a joke.

The problem is feminism? Um, no.

The problem is that we live within a paradigm that, much like the whole AI thing, has taken on a life of its own. Does the paradigm co opt anything that looks like it might challenge its supremacy. Yes, always. Look at Christianity, a classic example. I mean, lets compare Jesus and the Pope - one chucked money lenders out of the temple and the other has gold encrusted everything. It's beyond a doubt that the legacy of the Christian Church is bloodshed, nothing that any feminist has ever done could even begin to compare, yet Jesus was a man of peace. Do we blame Jesus for the Crusades? The genocides? No, we don't.

As for feminism, any woman that thinks a man knows more than her because of his penis needs to step away from the conditioning. I mean sheesh. Is it 2023 or did I miss a century?

Has feminism been co opted by the paradigm? Yes, for sure. Like racism, gay rights etc etc. Is it an ongoing process? Yes, look at the current nonsense with trans rights being prioritised over everything else. Is it part of the divide and rule tactics that has always been so effective? Yes. Do we need to get rid of feminism? Nope.

There is no need for feminism to be disruptive. On the contrary, I would argue that it is our natural state. Humans are hunter gatherers at heart, which makes us interdependent anarchists, on the whole. We like to live and let live, deferring to those with skills and wisdom in certain circumstances, but mostly, doing their own thing. What use is a woman that sits on her arse and waits for her husband to come home and sort shit out? The only thing sex linked is reproduction, we can have babies, men can't. Other than that, individuals within a community serve that community best by working at things that they do well. This will look different for everyone.

Let us not pretend that the past was fantastic, it wasn't. The reason that there was such a backlash with feminism/against the patriarchy was the abuse suffered by women and children. I was one of those abused children. I was brought up in a home where violence was the norm and that was totally socially ok. Men beating the shit out of their wives and kids due to their own frustrations with life was not only normal, it was accepted and even encouraged (often, I'm sorry to say, by other women). I was horsewhipped for having an opinion that differed from my father. I repeatedly cleaned the blood of my mother from furniture in the house. She had no protection and no options, ended up in hospital with a fractured skull at one point. Women leaving said abusive husbands, rather than staying to be murdered, on the other hand, was socially taboo.

Maybe you are too young to know what that was like, even though it wasn't that long ago. Maybe you were blessed with a safe and secure childhood, unlike many of us. However, even if that is the case, the usual rules apply. Follow the money. I'm seeing a lot of talk about how feminism has ruined the world but you know what I'm not seeing? The world, being ruled by hardcore feminists. On the contrary, the neoliberal globalist elite are primarily men. Does Rupert Murdoch seem like a rad fem to you? As just one example.

Of course there are always extremists in any movement but ironically, the "it's feminism" argument most reminds me of the rad fems who espoused the "all men are rapists", though to be fair, the rad fems of the 70's actually had a bit more evidence on their side, what with most rapists actually being men. If you think that the patriarchy of old was some kind of benign, benevolent force in which women and children thrived, then I can only suggest you read a little more widely and perhaps talk to older women about their experiences. It really isn't that long ago. I got married in 1990 and immediately needed my husbands permission for stuff to do with the bank account that I had had for some years before I married him. Because nothing says "can't manage a bank account" like a marriage certificate. Apparently.

I don't believe the paradigm, aka the patriarchy serves men or women. Never has, never will, because that is not its purpose. Its purpose is to keep us enslaved and that it does well. No need for overseers when people will pay to be overseen, courtesy of the latest shiny Apple offering. `
